My work is about process. It is not so much the end product but working with the physicality of the paint and the immediacy of the ink that engages me. My inspirations come from nature, various organic forms, trees, branches, water and light. The seasons inform my palette. Springs brings vibrant colors, fall more subdued and winter cool, melancholy tones. I love working with line, contour and rhythmic movements. My paintings have much to do with line in their overall expression.

Abstract Expressionist artist including Willem de Kooning, Joan Mitchell and Jackson Pollock are sources of inspiration to me. Brice Marden’s more recent linear work has helped define my works on paper.
